Representing Region 1 at the Junior Olympics in NC for both events, Trent prepared to run for 5 consecutive days. Â After the 200 meter dash qualifying round, Trenten finished 2nd in his heat and 11th overall out of the field of 57 of some of the fastest kids across the country. Â He ran his 1st round in 21.50 seconds making it to the semi-finals before getting stopped.
On to the 400 meter, Trenten once again made the semi-finals running a 48.59 in the trials, ranking him 12th in the field of 55 that competed.  Again Trent ran a super strong semi-final race, running a 47.87 second 400 meter (beating his personal best of 48.15). Unfortunately, the field of opponents was so strong, his time put him into 11th place overall, again just missing the Finals cut off. Zyaire Clemes, Marcus Chambers, Ricky Morgan, Jamaad Muse among the guys Trent raced against are All on Milesplit.com as being in the top 10 high school 400 meter runners in the entire US. Trenten just began running track this past December.  His Coach is predicting great things for next season.
